ROSE CITY NEWS – 2013
Mayor’s Message: With many important issues coming up in the City of Rose City and Ogemaw County please, remember it is important to be a registered voter. The power is with the people but you must vote. I am asking the citizens of Rose City to support our local business all you can. Remember the Farmers Market; we want to make sure they are a permanent part of our City. This support is good for everyone. I am asking for community involvement. Shake things up. Get excited. Get involved. Support your community; help your neighbors when they are in need. Let’s make Rose City the Place to Live!

The City of Rose City is asking everyone to work on cleaning up their yards in April and May and continue on the rest of the year. For your convenience you may place large items out by the road and D.P.W. workers will pick them up. In addition, please remember that The City of Rose City now has an agreement with the City of West Branch to use their Recycling Services. Before your first use you will need to sign up for a card (one time only) at West Branch City Hall, 121 N. Forth St., West Branch information is available at City Hall. We are also including a copy of the new Weed Control Ordinance that is now in effect. The City would also like to remind you that in accordance with the Fire Ordinance leaf burning is not allowed, leaves should be bagged and set out for pick up by the DPW, you can also bundle branches for pick up. The only burning allowed is a domestic campfire in a fire ring. Let us work together and show our community pride in Rose City’s appearance. Remember you can get a copy of any ordinance at City Hall; they are also now available on the official City website.
